Grocery List for the Figure or Bodybuilder Competitor
This should make your trip to the grocery store much easier as we have laid out the core foods in one list.
Grocery List
Protein Sources:
- Egg White Cartons
- Eggs
- Chicken Breast
- Ground Turkey Breast
- Tuna (canned is ok, always in water, not oil)
- Whitefish (i.e. Tilapia)
- Salmon
- Greek Yogurt (unflavored)
- Lean Beef Steak (use sparingly)
- Lean Pork (use sparingly)
- Sliced Deli Meat Turkey or Chicken (use sparingly, ensure no sugar added)
Carbohydrate Sources:
- Old-Fashioned Oatmeal (Quaker or Generic)
- Sweet Potato
- Potato
- Brown Rice
- Quinoa
Fat Sources:
- Ground Flax Seed
- Almonds (raw)
- Mixed Nuts (raw)
- Natural Organic Peanut Butter
- Raspberry Light Vinaigrette
Green Vegetables (frozen bags from grocery store are a good option):
- Green Beans
- Peas
- Broccoli
- Snap Peas
- Lettuce
- Spinach
- Asparagus
- Cabbage
- Peppers
Beverages:
- Water
- Black Coffee (no sugar or cream)
- Brewed Tea (no additives)
Other:
- Salt & Pepper
- Other Spices (such as dill, cayenne pepper, lemon pepper, etc)
- Mustard (some variations good, such as spicy, stay away with over 1 carb/serving)
- Frank's Hot Sauce
- Mrs. Dash Seasoning Blends
